I am so excited to see that you guys made a post! Alright, questions ... first, the friend is Tara Danielson. You probably don't even know her, so I didn't bother mentioning her name. She's an old military wife friend. Second, to post. You sign into the site using the info I gave you (e-mail and password) then click on "new post" and you can do a new post instead of a reply post if you want.
Jakes boss sounds like more than a moron ... he sounds like an ass. Doesn't he realize that his employees have families that are depending on paychecks and a little job stability?! AUGH! I am so sorry that you guys are in this "limbo" state with employment. That sucks ... but I know that it will work out how it is supposed to in the end ... I know, stupid analogy at this point, but I really beleive it.
Drew's football season is yet again extended (yeah, heavy sigh). We woke up to 3 inches of snow yesterday and all the fields were closed. So, one more freaking week, then the final play off game, then we are DONE DONE DONE!!!!
We bought the boys a WII for their "combined" birthday gift (they are getting cheaper and cheaper, yeah for us!) and they are having a blast. I think we should have gotten one much earlier because of one game in particular ... boxing. I "boxed" with Drew, and as you know Drew pretty much gets on my last nerve on a daily basis with this mouth ... well let me jsut tell you, I can beat the hell out of him on the game AND then proceed to talk crap to him ("you want more of this?!") and my arms hurt a little from the "workout". I think it's a win win for everyone. I get to get out the negative energy, Drew gets to realize his mom is the superior winner at all things, and, uh, oh yeah, my arms hurt so I think there was some sort of work out in there. That's all. Love you all.

INTRODUCTION

Mom, Jon, Roo, Jake, Josh, Sara, Kati, and Juan!

Welcome! A few weeks ago a friend sent me a private e-mail to tell me her marriage of 15 years was over. I had just read her "blog" page that morning where she had written how wonderful things were with her little family! People lie on blogs, things always look happy, pictures are photoshopped, and life is not always happy, we don't always have perfect hair and our less than toned butts cannot always be "thinified" (a great tool on photo shop! LOL!). Pictures aren't perfect, life is messy and complicated some days ... and if anyone knows that better, it would be our family!

So here's my thought ... the other day I had a complete meltdown on our poor Mom. She was kind enough to listen, not hang up on me and tell me that I was certifiably nuts, and just let me rant. The ranting went on for some time, but amongst other things it boiled down to, "and I can't talk to my friends about any of our family stuff because it's not just a little wierd, it's alot wierd, and sometimes it's alot embarassing, and I really don't want to open that can of worms for fear people will think I'm bonkers!" Bottom line. Despite the hell each of us has endured in our own individual lives, we've still stayed a cohesive unit ... somehow ... and I think that's amazing. We can find humor in almost everything, and we still like being around each other. LOL! You guys are the only people I can REALY talk to, and REALLY feel like I can be completely honest ... you're my family, and that will never change and I hope you all feel the same. As our lives and families grow and change and evolve, I think we need an outlet to share with each other, and only each other. This blog is "edited" so that it is not public domain, noone can be on here except us, and we can't be googled. In other words, whatever we say on here is completely our family and private to only us ... so here's the outlet. I hope you like this idea and you will start sharing pictures, stories, thoughts, ramblings, whatever. I love all of you!
